WORKSHOPS
Several times a year, Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve offers workshops for educators and the community. These workshops are designed to provide educational tools for educators to take into their classroom, passing on love for nature. They are also designed to educate the community on sustainable living and best management practices. We usually partner with other organizations such as Westmoreland Cleanways and the Pennsylvania Game Commission as well as Saint Vincent College faculty and staff. They are fun and educational and usually Act 48 credits are available. For more information about upcoming workshops, see below. If there is a workshop that you are interested in seeing us host at WPNR, or if there is one that you would like to provide, contact the Reserve at 724-537-5284.

WPNR Living library IS OPEN
Visit us at the learning barn to view our seed bank, The Living Library. The first one in our region, the library hopes to serve as a learning tool and free resource for anyone who wants to grow fruits, vegetables, trees, flowers, and herbs. We have over 300 types of seeds and the numbers are growing every day as folks all across the country are sharing their seeds with us. To find out how you can acquire seeds or how you can donate to help our Living Library grow, call, e-mail, or inquire at the front desk!
