Tiny Wonder Time is an hour of nature play for children ages 2-4, with an adult, the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Each session will include:
· A Story
· A Craft
· Interactive Activities
· An Outside Activity/Hike(weather permitting)
REGISTRATION PROCESS
· Registration is on a First Come, First Served Basis. Based on Arrival at the Reserve or in the USPS Mailbox. The Maximum number per AM or PM Session is 40 children.
· Registration is required and will be accepted ONLY by MAIL or IN PERSON. NO PHONE RESERVATIONS.
· Registrations must be received by the 2nd Friday of the Month. – No Walk-in Registrations.
· Registrations received after the deadline will be considered at the discretion of the Reserve Staff.
· There is an NON-REFUNDABLE Administration Fee of $1 per child per month due at time of registration.
GENERAL POLICIES
1. Children must be accompanied by a Parent or Caregiver. The Parent or Caregiver should be with the child during Tiny Wonder Time and be involved in the process and help with the craft, snack or any other activity that the children need help with.
2. Children must be ages 2-4 or turn 2 during the month in which you are attending. While our Tiny Wonder Time is has secured funding, the funding target is for children ages 2-4.
· If you child turns 2 during the session (i.e. January – May; June – August; September – December), please feel free to register them at the beginning of the registration period, but only for the months in which they turn 2 or are 2.
· If your child is too young and you have another child participating, please feel free to bring them, but please wait until they are 2 to register and participate as the activities will not be age appropriate and there is cost associated with the activities.
· If your child is 4, and will turn 5 during the registered session (i.e. January – May; June – August; September – December) they are more than welcome to complete the session. If you child turns 5 before the next session, they will be missed at Tiny Wonder Time, but are more than welcome to attend Nature Story Time on Fridays for 2-5 year olds.
3. Children will be categorized by age for groups as much as possible. In the event of siblings, they will be grouped together in the group of the oldest child.
4. The policy for outside activities is dependent on the temperature. Less than 20 degrees, we will not be going outside. The outside portion is usually 5-10 minutes during the winter months.
CANCELLATIONS BY WINNIE PALMER NATURE RESERVE
In the event of inclement weather, TWT will be cancelled if Greater Latrobe School District is Cancelled. We will reschedule it for the 3rd Thursday same times. In the event of a Greater Latrobe School District Cancellation on the 3rd Thursday, then TWT will be cancelled that month.
CANCELLATIONS BY YOU
If you know in advance that you will not be attending, please inform the Reserve staff so that we may plan accordingly.
